Description
Flint Ridge is a historically and prehistorically famous place in Ohio. It has been know for thousands of years for the beautifully colored and patterned flint which occurs there. Prehistoric hunter-gatherers prized this amazing flint for knapping projectile points, tools and ceremonial pieces. It’s no less cherished by modern flintknappers, such as myself. Did prehistoric people create matched earrings from it? Probably not, but I do! But I believe they would have appreciated the artistic expression involved. Hope you do, too. This matched pair are 1.6 inches in length and set with 14K gold-filled ear wires.
