My fascination for prehistory is a big part of what got me interested in knapping, but modern history can be fascinating for the same reason. Here’s a 6″ Dogleg-notch point from a piece of historic slag glass from the early Industrial Age of Armenia. It’s unique material to knap, produced as a byproduct of early iron smelting, and was recently found on the bottom of Armenia’s Lake Sevan.
