Description
This flintknapped Panorama Point set is the largest I’ve created. It’s comprised of 10 points, replicas of various North American point types and prehistoric time periods, spanning thousands of years. They range in size from 4 to 4.75 inches and are made of a material called Jafar Jasper. This is also the first nighttime Panorama Point set I’ve created.
I’ve knapped a very limited number of Panorama Point sets. The reason is because it requires a specially patterned piece of rough material to start. This type of rock, of a suitable grade, is very hard to come by! Then reducing it into individual points, and finding a suitable sequence in which they actually appear to be the image of a beautiful landscape ……. well, it’s a very challenging, time consuming endeavor. But if it does come together, it’s seems worth the blood, sweat and tears invested!
The come in a 10″x14″ walnut case, the glass of which, protects the points, while gently pressing the set into the firm, cushioned backing. It’s equipped with hangers allowing it to be hung on a wall for display!
